Dr. Lloyd Mills
Adviser and LEED Green Associate
Biography: Dr. Lloyd Mills has worked in the sustainability industry for over two decades. He has a well-rounded background in engineering, finance, marketing, procurement and operations management. In addition, he has worked globally within the computer, automotive, communication, military, and banking industries. He is known for his business acumen, collaborative influencing, and “can-do” attitude.
Lloyd has undergraduate degrees in Robotics and Manufacturing Engineering and a Masters degree in Business Administration. He also has earned a Ph. D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences.
Today Lloyd is an energy leader at the company that he owns named Smart Solar Construction. He is a certified LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) practitioner with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The goal of the USGBC is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed and operated, enabling environmental and socially responsible infrastructure to improve the quality of life. Smart Solar Construction is a Better Business Bureau member and has an “A+” rating.
